MY PHILOSOPHY
As soon as I moved to New York I quickly understood the value of making a "Home." It's a word that means very different things to every individual, however I do believe that we can all agree on one thing: it has to feel like you. It's imperative that Home feels like the place that represents you, that welcomes you each day, and is a space you feel proud of.
New York is a city that requires the most of you, in every regard. A heightened sense of awareness, strong sense of self, and a steel plated patience are a few characteristics that breed success. And frequently moving seems a necessary evil many of us have to endure. As I progressed through school at NYU, I became a member of multiple different neighborhoods, and learned how to efficiently maneuver my sense of Home throughout all the various spaces I inhabited. Through this development and curation of my own idea of what my home should be, I began to offer this advice and philosophy to friends and family. I grew to love helping anyone develop and cultivate their own idea of how the wanted to feel when they arrived to their new Greenwich Village Studio, perhaps. Or what the wanted their new Inwood One-Bedroom to say about them when visitors stopped by. A passion for this work developed and that's hopefully why you find yourself here. Looking for inspiration, maybe. Or, perhaps you're looking to find someone who can help you locate a specific feeling that might be missing from the most important space in your life. I would love to be that person for you. Reach out and let me know of what help to you I can be! It would be an honor. Warmly, Drew |
