SOLO SHOWS

"Wouldn't It Be Nice?" premiered on April 20th, 2024 at Chelsea Table + Stage in New York City.

What do we do this for?

Thats the central question and motive behind Drew Carr's first solo show "Wouldn't It Be Nice?"
Born out of a need to tell his own story on his own terms, this show--told through spoken word and music ranging from Gaga to Sondheim--aims to get to the center of what it means for a successful child actor transitioning into a curious, sometimes directionless adult artist. Using his whip-smart, funny, and deeply personal writing style, Drew manages to tell the story of a kid who believed his life would be incredibly different by now if you had asked him where he thought he'd be by 30. It's an interesting, relatable, and at time deeply emotional retrospective on self-love, determination, and the power that art holds in the lives of those that are committed to making it.
